It is easy for Mother’s Day to just pop to the supermarket and buy a bunch of flowers or a box of chocolates but if you are looking for something really a bit different then maybe these are some perfect ideas for you. Just don’t buy a kitchen gadget if she didn’t ask for one!

Have you seen the Enid Blyton books for adults? This one, Five get beach body ready is brilliant and if your mum is always wanting to lose weight or planning for holidays would be a hilarious and unusual gift. For £7.99 on Amazon and available in some high street stores too it is inexpensive but a fun gift.

If you want something a little more special than standard chocolates from the supermarket then these may be the perfect gift for you! They are Cherry Bakewell Caramels and are so tasty I can highly recommend them. They are available from Fudge Kitchen and are Produced in Kent. It is always nice to see something produced in the UK by a smaller brand, isn’t it?

How about a Dashcam? Useful and something she may not normally treat herself to but if she drives lots it could prove very handy. We have this Nextbase 312 in both our cars and find it so easy to use and good quality.

Everyone loves Monopoly, don’t they? A great family game so if your mum loves it too and is a Game of Thrones fan then this could be an unusual but perfect gift for her. This adult edition is currently £32.45 on Amazon and even has a musical stand that plays the Game of Thrones theme tune! What a different idea for a mum who has everything she wants!

If you are going to get some toiletries then how about something a bit different. These Romney Marsh Wools products really are a bit different. There is wool fat shampoo and a moisturising hand and body lotion. As with the Cherry Bakewell caramels above they are produced in Kent so a lovely small UK brand.

How about a fabulous treat in London. Eating at The Gherkin, with fabulous views over London is not as expensive as you might think and perfect for a really special treat. The food is amazing and the views are truly breathtaking. For £129 with Red Letter Days you could buy a three-course meal with cocktails for two At Searcy’s at The Gherkin.
