Gift ideas for the sports fan in your life
If you have a partner who does some kind of sports they can be a nightmare to buy for. Whether they are male or female it is just as hard. All these items can be bought in a matter of minutes online which sometimes is what we need isn’t it.

Entry to an event
This could be tickets to watch an event they enjoy or to actually participate. If you are looking for a gift for a runner then paying their entry to a race may be a perfect gift? I loved competing in The Great North Run in 2016 but the cost of these things soon add up. A quick search online could find events near you or you could buy a nice card and write them an I.O.U?
Clothing specific to the sport
If they compete in specific sports standard clothing or trainers might just not be right. Why not treat them to this? A football shirt of their favourite team or shoes to play golf could be perfect.
A book by their idol
This is a really low-cost easy gift for a sports fan. Most successful sportsmen and women have a book of some kind. For less than £20 you can usually order this online and have it delivered. A really easy and cheap gift that has had some thought put into! If you want to splash out why not try and find a signed copy?
A Stadium Tour
If they are an aspiring footballer would they like a tour of their favourite team’s stadium? Other sports often do this kind of thing too. We went on a Wembley Tour and loved it. Helping them to imagine their dreams as a professional in this way may be the gift they would love? These are often easily bought online too!
Something not at all linked to sports
Maybe they are actually sick of you always buying them cricket items just because they like a game of cricket and they would prefer a games console or a DVD? You know your recipient best so maybe this is worth a thought?
Whatever you decide to buy the sports fan in your life remember not to get in unnecessary debt for it. Don’t forget if your recipient lives with you to try and have your order delivered elsewhere so they don’t even see the packaging! If you order online and the packaging shows where the gift is from it could ruin your surprise!
